It hasn’t been an ideal start for Washington Wizards in the ongoing NBA season of 2021. The Wizards have lost 10 matches out of the 13 they have played and they are just not coming up with collective efforts. One man that has stood up for them has been Bradley Beal, who has played at the top of his game.
The Wizards lost their 10th match of the season against Houston Rockets by 107-88 on Wednesday. However, Beal once again had a top game for his franchise as he scored 33 points. But Beal’s efforts went in vain as Wizards couldn’t even score 100 points.
Beal is now averaging 34.4 points per game in the 12 games he has played so far this season. In fact, Beal has top-scored in all the 12 matches he played for the Washington Wizards in this season.
After his impressive performance of 33 points against the Rockets, Bradley Beal has become the 6th player in NBA history to score at least 25 points in each of his first 12 games of a season, joining the likes of Rick Barry, Elgin Baylor, Wilt Chamberlain, Michael Jordan, and Jerry West.
Beal will look to continue his good show this season but the 27-year-old will want more from his teammates, especially Russell Westbrook, who has thus far disappointed with his form. Westbrook is averaging just 18.1 points per game while shooting only 37.4% from the floor. Thus, it has been frustrating for Beal as he hasn’t had any support from his teammates.
Considering, Wizards’ situation, it won’t be a surprise if Bradley Beal requests for a trade to some other franchise, where he can be instrumental in the success of the team.
Washington Wizards will next face New Orleans Pelicans on the 28th of January.
