Portland Trail Blazers’ star Damian Lillard is well known for his scoring ability of three pointers. The 30-year-old scored three three pointers against the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday out of the 11 attempts. Curry scored a total of 24 points but his efforts went in vain as the Trail Blazers lost by 111-108.
Consequently, Damian Lillard became the second-fastest NBA player to make 1,800 threes, doing it in 622 games. Stephen Curry is the fastest, who is regarded as one of the best shooters in the game, as he achieved the same milestone in 545 games.
Lillard is at the 18th place in the list of most three pointers in the NBA with a total of 1802 three pointers. Meanwhile, former legend Ray Allen is at the top of the chart with 2973 threes to his name.
Among the current active players, Steph Curry (3rd), James Harden (5th), JJ Redick (14th), and LeBron James (15th) make the cut into the top players for the three pointers.
In fact, Lillard can also make the list into the top-10 players for most three pointers in the ongoing season. Jason Kidd is in 10th place as he scored 1988 three pointers in his career. Lillard has an average of almost 200 three pointers in a season and thus he can overtake Kidd’s tally by the end of the ongoing season.
However, Lillard will like to improve his consistency as he is averaging 35% from the perimeter. Meanwhile, Trail Blazers have thus far won three matches and they have lost four games in this season.
Portland Trail Blazers will next face Minnesota Timberwolves on 8th of January.
