The 35-year old has played 17 NBA seasons and he has got better and better with experience. James has won four NBA championships in his glorious career and he has broken many records in his career.
The legend has shown that age is just a number and he keeps getting better with more experience. LA Lakers head coach Frank Vogel shed light on what makes LeBron James unique. Vogel stated that James has worked hard on his fitness and he has always evolved his game. Thus, James has reaped rewards for the hard yards he has put in his game.
Vogel, who has observed James from close corners, knows how hard he trains himself. The Akron Hammer is known to give his 120% on the court and there is never a lack of effort from the champion.
Vogel said in an telephonic interview, “What’s unique about LeBron? Well, everything is the answer. Very unusual for some other players at this level to sustain the amount of time. Credit to what he does with his body, the work that he puts in, but also his ability to evolve his game. He’s a different type of player now than he was 15/16/17 years ago. You have to do that to play deeper into your career the way he has.”
Vogel added that James is always mentally strong and he knows how to get the best out of his teammates.
“He made a lot of adjustments, and the mental peace for him is really unprecedented in the NBA. And with what he did will bring to a team mentally. So he continues to impress and I’m excited about the type of season he’s going to have for us this year.”
James had a great previous season as he took the LA Lakers to their 17th NBA title. The legend will aim to replicate the same performance and would lpok to give his best.
The Lakers won all their four preseason matches against the Clippers and the Suns. The LA Lakers will begin their title defense against the LA Clippers on 23rd December.
