Golden State Warriors fans had a nervous few seconds when their star guard Steph Curry fell on his hands awkwardly in the match against Chicago Bulls and winced in pain. However, Curry revealed that he will be alright and brushed off any injury concerns.
Golden State Warriors thrashed Chicago Bulls by 138-96 on Friday night as Curry’s team registered their biggest win of the season. Jonathan Kuminga, who came off the bench top-scored for the team with 25 points while Curry contributed with 19 points.
It was the second quarter of the game when GSW stamped their authority on the match as they scored 41 points while the opposition could only add 19 points.
GSW continued their assault on the opponent in the third quarter as they scored 34 while the Bulls could only score 25.
“Anything that involves the hands, especially the right one, you’re a little concerned,” he said. “But the feeling came back, the strength came back. It hurts, but I’ll be all right.”
“I have some PTSD from two years ago,” he said. “When I landed it felt kind of the same, but we’ll get it looked at and figure it out. Should be all right.”
Curry is averaging 26.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.6 steals for the Warriors in the ongoing season.
Meanwhile, Golden State Warriors rested Klay Thompson, who had played for 20 minutes in the match against the Milwaukee Bucks. The team’s head coach Steve Kerr is hopeful that Draymond Green will return to the team’s match against Detroit Pistons which will be played on Tuesday
GSW had lost their previous two matches against Memphis Grizzlies and Milwaukee Bucks and they will be delighted to get back to winning ways.
The Golden State Warriors will next take on the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday night.
