LA Lakers player Dennis Schroder has rated LeBron James as the best point guard to have ever played the game. James has the ability to play at any position on the court and he has been delivering the goods for the Lakers over the years. The Akron Hammer can deliver the goods at the offensive lines as well as on the defensive lines. Thus, he is known for his all-around play.
The legendary player had played a key role in the Lakers’ triumph in the previous season as he had topped the assist leader category with 684 assists. James had done a fine job in setting and handling the ball. Thus, James had set up the ball for his teammate – Anthony Davis – who had topped for the Lakers in each of the categories except assists.
Meanwhile, Germany’s Dennis Schroder has played as a point guard in his career. Thus, he understands the position and he has also played with Chris Paul, who is regarded as one of the best point guards in the NBA.
“We’ve got the best point guard, first off, whoever played basketball,” he said.
“I’ve played with Russell [Westbrook], Chris Paul, Shai [Gilgeous-Alexander], with a couple of point guards who were pretty damn good. But LeBron is the best to ever play this game, I believe. So I don’t try to take anything from him, try to help him in any way I can, especially on the defensive end.”
On the other hand, LeBron James suffered an ankle injury last week and he is expected to be ruled out of action for about a month, which is a big blow for the Lakers.
Meanwhile, the Lakers made a solid comeback against Cleveland Cavaliers as they won 100-86 on Saturday. The Lakers won a game after losing four matches on the trot.
The Lakers have 29 matches whereas they have lost 17 in this season. The Men in Yellow and Purple will next take on Orlando Magic on Monday at 7:30 AM IST.
