Los Angeles Lakers veteran LeBron James continues to break records in the NBA. James completed his 57,447th minute on court in the 113-100 victory against the Sacramento Kings on Thursday and became the player with the most minutes in the NBA.
The veteran leapfrogged Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record of most minutes on the court. James scored 19 points while team-mate Austin Reaves led with 25 points. The talisman is all set to turn 40 but he is still playing at the top of his fitness.
Earlier in the year, James went past Abdul-Jabbar for the NBA’s all-time scoring record.
“It’s just a commitment to the craft and to the passion and love
I have for the game,” said James.
“I don’t take much time in the off-season, a little bit more time now, no matter if I was making the 10 Finals appearances back-to-back and just always trying to keep my body in tip-top shape.”
On the other hand, LeBron James had 32 points as the Lakers continued their winning impetus against the Kings on Saturday, registering a 103-99 win on Saturday.
Furthermore, Reaves finished with 16 points, and Davis had 10 points and 15 rebounds
Meanwhile, James is playing 35.0 minutes in 25 games this season, which is third-lowest of his glorious career. James has always given importance to his fitness and thus he has reaped rewards at the top level. The veteran’s longevity is an inspiration to all the NBA players, coming up the ranks.
The Los Angeles Lakers, who have a 16-12 record in the ongoing season, will next take on the Detroit Pistons on Monday.
