The Slovenian Luka Doncic has been the cynosure of all eyes since he has made his debut in the NBA. Doncic was able to impress one and all in his debut season of 2018-19 and he also bagged the Rookie of the year award to make a name for himself.
The 21-year old youngster has shown the promise to go a long way in his career as he has amazing skills. In fact, Doncic has threatened to break many of the elite records in the NBA.
Earlier in March 2020, Doncic had become the leader of the triple double in Dallas Mavericks’ history when he had overtaken Jason Kidd’s record of 21 triple doubles.
Meanwhile, the young rising star scored his 27 triple-double in the NBA when he scored 20 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists against Orlando Magic as the Mavericks won by 112-98 on Sunday. Doncic, who has top scored in six of the nine Mavericks games in this season, gave great support to Hardaway Jr, who top scored with 36 points against the Magic.
After scoring his 27 triple-double of his young career, Doncic is on the cusp of equallying former Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan. With one more triple-double, the youngster will match Jordan’s tally of 28 triple doubles.
Doncic went past Elgin Baylor to become the 17th all-time leader in the list of most triple doubles. Oscar Robertson has the highest number of triple doubles as the former legend scored 181 in his glorious career.
Doncic will look to continue his good show going for the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks have won five of the nine matches they have played thus far and they will next lock horns against the New Orleans Pelicans on 12th of January.
