Golden State Warriors talisman Steph Curry is one of the best shooters the game has ever seen. Curry has been at his absolute best in the ongoing season as he reached new heights in his game. However, Curry has been a lone warrior for the Warriors in the absence of Klay Thompson.
Curry has been at his best and he is doing a fine job for the team. The 33-year old was too good against the Denver Nuggets, which is currently one of the best teams in the league. Curry single-handed took his team to victory as he scored a whopping 53 points.
Furthermore, he shot 14 of 24 from the field and dropped 10 out of 18 of his three-pointers. In fact, he scored 19 points in the first quarter. Thus, he surpassed the legendary Wilt Chamberlain to become the highest scorer for the franchise.
It’s his 7th career game with 50+ points and 10+ threes. In fact, no other player in NBA history has more than two, which is astonishing.
Curry was in his beast mode and continues to deliver the goods for the team. Furthermore, Curry has joined the elite club of Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and James Harden. Jordan had a 50+ points game on three occasions in five seasons whereas Kobe Bryant and James Harden have achieved the same on three occasions. Steph Curry has done the same on two occasions.
Curry had also top-scored for GSW with 38 against Houston Rockets. Meanwhile, Golden State Warriors currently have a 26-28 record and they are placed in the 10th place in the Western Conference. Thus, they will need to come up with a collective effort if they want to qualify for the playoff stages.
GSW will play their next match against Oklahoma City on Wednesday night.
