Tonight we had some pretty good moments – LeBron James on-court chemistry with Malik Monk

LA Lakers talisman LeBron James continued his sublime form in the ongoing NBA 2021-22 season as he dropped 37 points and 13 rebounds against Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night. However, James’ double-double went in vain as the Lakers lost by 99-104 despite having a 14-point lead at one stage in the third quarter.

Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant scored a total of 41 points and thus helped his team erase the deficit in the third quarter.

Meanwhile, Russell Westbrook scored 16 points while Malik Monk scored a total of 15 points. James stated that he is trying to put Malik Monk in the best of positions and reckons that the chemistry between him and Monk is improving.

Speaking on Monk’s performance, LeBron said in the post-game media interaction: “I’ve been trying to continue to help him learn and have him in the right position. I understand how gifted he is offensively and he’s on the floor with me for a lot of his minutes so just always trying to put him in the right position where he can have the ball and help himself and tonight we had some pretty good moments.”

On the other hand, James revealed that he has never tried to mold his game while studying anybody in the past and he has carved out his own path in the NBA. James is regarded as one of the best players of the current generation and has worked hard in his career to achieve all the success.

“No. Absolutely not. I have always respected the generation that came before me. I have always saluted the guys that set the [mile] stones for us to be here today. But I have never studied anybody’s game throughout their career on what I can implement for myself. I have always had my own path, my own determination, my own grind. I literally put in the work every day either from a physical or mental or spiritual path. The game is always running through my veins and I’m thinking about ways I can continue to improve my game throughout the later stage of my career. That’s what it is about.”

James would want his team to get back to winning ways as LA Lakers have now lost six games out of their last seven. LA Lakers will next face Portland Trail Blazers on Friday.
