There is no doubt that the Golden State Warriors talisman Steph Curry is one of the greatest shooters of all-time. Curry has amazing accuracy with his three-pointers and has done a fine job for his team. Not only Curry has great shooting abilities but also his ability to provide accurate assists is second to none.
Curry on Monday bagged another record under his kitty. The 33-year old has become Golden State Warriors’ all-time highest assists scorer after he scored two assists against the LA Lakers. Curry top-scored with 27 points for his team but his efforts went in vain as his team lost by 128-97.
Curry surpassed Guy Rodgers for the franchise’s all-time record in assists with 4,856. After Curry achieved the milestone, Hall of Famer and former LA Lakers legend Magic Johnson congratulated him.
Magic Johnson said in the video, “Steph, I want to congratulate you on becoming the Warriors’ All-time assist leader. Man, you’re the greatest shooter that the game has ever seen. You’re a three-time NBA champion, and you’re having an MVP-type season.
“Congratulations, tell your parents I said hello. Keep doing what you’re doing man, you’re blessing the community and I love it.”
Curry had joined Golden State Warriors back in 2009 and since then he has done a fine job for the franchise. The point guard will look to carry the same form for his team.
Meanwhile, Golden State Warriors have won 20 matches while they have lost as many. Thus, they are currently placed in ninth place and they will need to come up with better performances in the coming matches.
The Warriors will next face the Houston Rockets on Thursday, 5:30 AM IST.
