Afghanistan will lock horns against India in the third T20I of the series at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi, on Thursday. India has already taken an impregnable lead of 2-0 in the series after winning the second game by seven wickets.

Afghanistan hasn’t been able to put enough runs on the board in the first two games, which has led to their downfall. The hosts will need to come up with a collective effort, and they will need to adopt an aggressive approach with the bat to turn their fortunes.

Meanwhile, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Sanju Samson were the biggest positives for India in the last game after both had failed to deliver in the series opener. While Reddy returned with his best T20I figures of 3-24 in three overs he bowled, Samson scored a blistering knock of 57 runs off just 22 balls.

As India has already sealed the series, Shreyas Iyer hinted that there could be some changes to the playing XI in the dead-rubber contest. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who was seen warming the benches, could get his chance in the final XI. The youngster had scored 151 runs in three matches in the last series against Zimbabwe. If he gets his chance, fireworks are expected at the top of the order.
