Australia will lock horns against India in the fifth T20I at the Gabba, Brisbane on Saturday. India took a 2-1 series lead after comprehensively winning the fourth T20I at the Gold Coast by 48 runs. Thus, the visitors would aim to clinch the five-match series whereas the hosts would look to achieve parity.
Axar Patel was the star of the show for the tourists as he delivered with both bat and ball. Patel returned with impressive figures of 2-20 in his quota of four overs and also scored a crucial knock of 11-ball 21 to help India post 167 runs on the board.
Furthermore, Shivam Dube was able to get two crucial wickets of Tim David and Mitchell Marsh. Washington Sundar bowled for the first time in the series and bagged three wickets and thus India came up with a collective bowling show.
Moreover, Arshdeep Singh has delivered consistently in the last two games and he should be a regular member of the playing XI.
On the other hand, Australia would be disappointed with their batting effort as they would have wanted to come up with a better show in the run-chase of 168. The home team was skittled out for 119 runs and they would want to pull up their socks.
