Champions Trophy 2025: India vs Bangladesh – Stats Preview

India, the runners-up of the Champions Trophy, will begin their campaign against Bangladesh at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai on Thursday. The Men in Blue recently defeated England by 3-0 and they will aim to carry the good form. 

Rohit Sharma scored a magnum opus knock of 119 runs in the second ODI against England and his return to form is a big positive for the team. Furthermore, Virat Kohli scored 52 runs in the third ODI at Ahmedabad. 

Shubman Gill was also in terrific form against the Three Lions, scoring 259 runs at 86.33 in three games.

On the other hand, Bangladesh will need to play out of their skin to challenge the potent Indian team and their senior players will need to step up.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma needs 12 runs to reach 11000 runs in ODIs. He will become the second-fastest Indian batter to get to the milestone after Virat Kohli.

Shubman Gill needs three fours to complete 300 boundaries in ODIs.

Virat Kohli needs 37 runs to complete 14000 runs in ODIs. The talisman will become the third batter after Sachin Tendulkar and Kumar Sangakkara to reach the milestone.

Rishabh Pant needs nine fours to complete 100 boundaries.

Mohammed Shami needs three wickets to complete 200 scalps in the 50-over format.

Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto needs 12 runs to complete 1500 runs in ODIs.

Mushfiqur Rahim needs one more fifty to complete 50 fifties.
