Previous edition’s finalists India and Australia will begin their campaign against each other at Cape Town on October 7. The much-anticipated clash between India and Pakistan will be played at Johannesburg on October 10. Second potential India-Pakistan game will be played in Cape Town on November 7.
India is in Group A with Australia, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, Pakistan and Qualifier A. England, Bangladesh, South Africa, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and Qualifier B constitute Group B.
“The much-anticipated India-Pakistan match will be played on October 10 in Johannesburg, while the Namibia Cricket Ground’s final fixture at the tournament is one of intrigue, when England play Sri Lanka on 13 October. India take on Zimbabwe in the first Cricket World Cup match at the new ground at Victoria Falls, the last fixture of the group stage,” the official ICC statement reads.

The top three teams in each group and the fourth-placed team with more points than the fourth-place finisher in the other Group Stage group will qualify for the Super 7 phase.

The top four teams after the Super 7 phase will progress to the semi-finals. The two semifinals will be played on November 17 and 18, whereas the final clash will be hosted by Johannesburg on November 21.
