India’s all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has heaped praise on his skipper Virat Kohli. Jadeja has been playing with Kohli since the Under-19 days and they share a great bond.
The all-rounder opined that Kohli is always looking to win the game irrespective of the opposition and the significance of the series or the match.
Kohli always has a winning attitude and he is known for his aggressive captaincy, especially in Test cricket. The Indian captain likes to take the bull by its horns and there is no room for complacency in his game.
Jadeja also added that Kohli has matured now as a leader and is always positive. Thus, Kohli is well known to get the best out of his players as a captain.
“Yes, I have been playing with him since I was under-19. He has matured now and is always positive. He always looks to win the game no matter with which team we are playing, whether we are playing a big game or just a normal series,” Jadeja told news agency ANI.
“He is always dominant, so he creates a good environment within the team, and that is the plus point of his captaincy and he always looks to be aggressive on the field,” he added.
On the other hand, Jadeja feels playing the IPL in UAE will be a perfect way to prepare for the T20 World Cup, which will also be played at the same venue. The players will be able to get used to the conditions while playing in the IPL and it would certainly give them a good exposure to the pitches.
“Yes, the IPL comes right after the England Test series so it’s good preparation before the World Cup. Plus, we are playing both IPL and World Cup in UAE, and I think the same venue helps us a lot. That will be good preparation before the World Cup,” he signed off.
Meanwhile, Jadeja has been in sublime form with the bat and had scored a fine knock of 56 runs in the first Test match against England at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. The second Test will begin today at Lord’s.
