Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has picked Virat Kohli as the best ODI cricketer ever. Kohli has been a consistent performer in the 50-over version and boasts an incredible record in the format.

The talisman has amassed 14941 runs in 314 ODI matches at an average of 58.59 and a strike rate of 93.96. The veteran also has a splendid record while chasing in the ODI format.

He has scored 54 ODI centuries, which is the highest in the format.

Glenn Maxwell said on the Keepin’ it Cricket YouTube Channel, “The best I ever saw in One-day cricket was Kohli. Some of the innings he has played against us have been ridiculous. He just has more time, and he’s able to put the ball where he wants in the field. Just a different level.”

Maxwell picked Andre Russell as the best T20 cricketer, whereas he backed compatriot Steve Smith as the best Test cricketer. Russell has accumulated 9919 runs in 607 T20 games at a strike rate of 166.70. Furthermore, he has scalped 535 wickets in the shortest format of the game.

Smith has gathered 10920 runs in 125 Test matches at an average of 56, including 37 centuries.

On the other hand, Maxwell said India’s gun fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has a weird release point, which makes it difficult for the batters to pick him.
