Team India’s performance analyst Hari Prasad Mohan has picked Prasidh Krishna as the ‘impact player’ after the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka. Mohan said Krishna can have a second job as an analyst.

Krishna scalped seven wickets in two Test matches at an average of 24.57 against Sri Lanka. The Karnataka pacer bowled better than Mohammed Siraj, who could only take four wickets in the series.

“Impact player of the series goes to someone who had put the hard yards, made the ball talk, kept asking the right questions to the batters. Even in these adverse conditions, he made an impact with the ball whenever he got the opportunity. And ever since we landed in Colombo he had been on my ears asking for a lot of data. In this team, if there is someone who can have a second job as an analyst, that would be him. It’s Prasidh Krishna,” Hari Prasad Mohan said on Indian Cricket Team Instagram account.

On the other hand, former Indian Test opener Wasim Jaffer had also praised Krishna for his efforts with the ball in the series against Sri Lanka. Jaffer said the lanky pacer was a go-to bowler for Shubman Gill, and the captain seems to trust him whenever he needed a wicket.

Wasim Jaffer said on his YouTube Channel, “Prasidh Krishna has raised his level with how he bowled in this series. It looks like his confidence has grown. Shubman Gill seems to trust him. When he needs a wicket, he goes to Prasidh Krishna.”

Krishna was right on the money against Sri Lanka and this performance would have given him a lot of confidence. 

The lanky pacer has scalped 32 wickets in nine Test matches at an average of 30.34.
