On the other hand, former Indian chief selector MSK Prasad also showered praise on Tilak Varma for doing a fine job for the team and feels he can be considered for the ODI World Cup.
He said while speaking to the PTI: “Tilak Varma is so talented – he got the hunger, that is the most important thing, he is so matured and whenever I talk with him – you get the feel that he knows when he wants to hit & what he wants to do.”
He continued: “If you see his domestic cricket also, it’s close to 55 or 60, his average in the one-day format. He has got a pretty bright chance to get into the squad if Shreyas Iyer is found unfit.”
