India will lock horns against Australia in the fourth T20I at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur on Friday. Australia was able to bounce back in the series as they won the third T20I by five wickets following a blistering knock of 104 runs from Glenn Maxwell to make it 2-1.
India has ticked all the right boxes in the first two matches but they could not get the job done with the ball in the previous game despite putting 222 runs on the board as the bowlers were wayward.
India had to defend 43 runs in the last two overs but Axar Patel and Prasidh Krishna could not hit the right areas. Ergo, India will need to turn the tables with the ball and the bowlers will aim to execute their plans better. India has also added the services of Deepak Chahar and he will certainly add more strength to the inexperienced bowling line-up.
However, the home team continued their good show with the bat as Ruturaj Gaikwad scored a majestic knock of 123 runs off just 57 balls. The Indian opener had timed the ball to perfection and he would aim to continue the good form.
On the other hand, Glenn Maxwell was able to steal a win from the jaws of defeat for Australia but he has traveled back and won’t no longer take part in the series. Australia has named a new squad and some fresh faces will be seen in the last two matches.
