India will square off against New Zealand in the second ODI at the Niranjan Shah Stadium, Khandheri, Rajkot on Wednesday. Washington Sundar has been ruled out of the remaining two games, and Ayush Badoni has replaced the all-rounder in the squad.
Sundar’s injury could open the selection doors for Nitish Kumar Reddy in the final XI. Reddy hasn’t been able to make the most of his limited chances and he would want to prove his mettle against the Kiwis.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli was able to continue his rich form, scoring a brilliant knock of 93 runs off just 91 balls. Furthermore, Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer scored 56 and 49 runs respectively.
