India vs Pakistan always attract eyeballs and the Asian Games final for the gold medal will be no different as both arch-rivals will take on each other at the Korogi Sports Park, Nisshin on Saturday. India qualified for the final after registering a comprehensive 124-run win against Sri Lanka in the semifinal clash.
Pakistan, on the other hand, had to sweat more as they secured a six wicket win with only three balls to spare against Bangladesh.
India has dominated Pakistan in the recent past and the Men in Blue would look to continue their supremacy. Shreyas Iyer’s team will play to their full strength and would aim to replicate what the girls have already achieved.
Ishan Kishan was fantastic on a slow pitch on Thursday as the left-hander scored an impressive knock of 80 runs off just 46 balls. Furthermore, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scored a crucial knock of 38 runs off 21 balls to give a quick start to the team.
Bumrah was once again unbelievable as he provided two early breakthroughs and then the spinners were able to pile up the pressure on the pitch, which had a lot of assistance for them. The track is once again expected to be slow and full of spin on Saturday and thus the spinners will once again lick their lips.
