With the series beautifully set up at 1-1, India will take on South Africa in the deciding ODI at Visakhapatnam on Saturday. The hosts have already lost the Test series, and losing the ODI series would add extra pressure on under-fire Gautam Gambhir.
Meanwhile, India were able to post a par score of 358 runs on the board in the second game but the bowlers could not defend it. Virat Kohli and Ruturaj Gaikwad were brilliant with the bat as they scored 102 and 105 runs respectively whereas KL Rahul was able to add the finishing touches with a 43-ball 66. However, there is no doubt that bowlers will need to come up with an improved show.
Furthermore, the home team were sloppy in the field and they will need to pull up their socks.
South Africa were able to tick the right boxes with the bat as Aiden Markram scored a fine knock of 110 runs. Moreover, Matthew Breetzke and Dewald Brevis scored fine half-centuries to help the Proteas get over the line.
