India will face the West Indies in the second ODI at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati, on Wednesday. The hosts drew first blood in the series, comprehensively winning the opening game by eight wickets on Sunday.

Kuldeep Yadav, Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli were the stars of the show for the home team. While Kuldeep bagged crucial figures of 4-40, Gill and Kohli both scored fantastic centuries to take their team over the line in the run chase of 296.

However, despite the convincing win, India would want to re-look at their playing combination. The team management gave a debut cap to Naman Dhir, who returned with figures of 0-33 in his five overs. It would make more sense for India to play with more specialist bowlers, and they could consider adding Mohammed Siraj to the final XI.

At one stage, the West Indies were looking all set to post more than 350 runs on the board, but Kuldeep Yadav played a key role in putting the brakes on.

On the other hand, Justin Greaves’ century was a huge positive for the visitors. The tourists could not capitalise on a promising start, and they would aim not to let their guard down when they are in a good position.

John Campbell and Amir Jangoo scored fifties for the Windies but the rest of the batters also need to grab their chances. However, the West Indies looked toothless with the ball, and they will look to bounce back strongly.
