IPL 2022: Picks for the match between Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals

Lucknow Super Giants will take on Delhi Capitals in the 15th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai on Thursday.

The KL Rahul-led team has made a decent start as they have won their last two matches after losing the opening match against Gujarat Titans.

On the other hand, Delhi Capitals made a winning start to their campaign as they won against Mumbai Indians but went on to lose against Gujarat Titans in their last match.

We take a look at Picks for the match between Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals. We will look at head-to-head records, stats, and players to look out for in the upcoming match.

LSG is coming up with collective efforts as the young players are putting their hands up at the crucial stages of the match. Ayush Badoni, Deepak Hooda, Evin Lewis, and Avesh Khan have done a perfect job for the new franchise whereas KL Rahul has also grown in confidence as a leader.

Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals could not get over the line against Gujarat Titans despite being ahead in the game at one stage. The Capitals need to come up with better performances, especially with the bat at the top of the order as Prithvi Shaw, Tim Seifert, and Mandeep Singh have failed to deliver for the team.

DC head coach Ricky Ponting was hopeful of David Warner and Anrich Nortje’s availability for the match against LSG and it will be interesting whether these two will make the cut into the final XI.

Head to Head: This will be the first time when these two teams will square off in the IPL.

Players to watch out for: KL Rahul, Quinton de Kock, Deepak Hooda, Ayush Badoni, Ravi Bishnoi, and Avesh Khan will be the crucial players for Lucknow Super Giants.

Rishabh Pant, Prithvi Shaw, Mustafizur Rahman, Axar Patel, and Rovman Powell will hold the key for DC.

Lucknow Super Giants Probable Playing XI: KL Rahul (c), Evin Lewis, Quinton de Kock (wk), Manish Pandey, Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya, Mohsin Khan, Ayush Badoni, Dushmantha Chameera, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan.

Delhi Capitals Probable Playing XI: Prithvi Shaw, Tim Seifert, Mandeep Singh, Rishabh Pant (c and wk), Lalit Yadav, Rovman Powell, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Mustafizur Rahman, Khaleel Ahmed.
