Royal Challengers Bangalore will lock horns against table-toppers Gujarat Titans in the 67th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Thursday.
Gujarat Titans will finish among the top two teams whereas it will be a must-win match for RCB as their NRR is in the negative.
GT is on a roll and they had won their previous match against Chennai Super Kings by seven wickets. The Titans have ticked the right boxes and they will look to end their league stage campaign on a high before the first Qualifier. Wriddhiman Saha continued his good form as he scored another vital knock of 67 runs against CSK. Mohammed Shami was brilliant with the ball as he snared two wickets.
On the other hand, RCB suffered a huge loss against Punjab Kings in their previous match, which could haunt them. It will be a do-or-die affair for RCB and they will have their work cut out against the best team of the tournament.
A lot of RCB batters had gotten off to starts but none of them could go on to convert them into substantial scores. Furthermore, Harshal Patel was once again superb as he scalped four wickets. RCB will need to come up with a collective effort and they will hope that Virat Kohli gets back into form in the crucial game.
