Royal Challengers Bengaluru will lock horns against Rajasthan Royals at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in the 42nd match of the ongoing IPL 2025 on Thursday. After three matches at home, RCB are still searching for their maiden win in Bengaluru.
Rajat Patidar’s team has to find a way to savour success in home conditions as four out of their remaining six games are in their own den. RCB’s batting unit has done a decent job with the likes of Phil Salt, Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal delivering at the top of the order.
Furthermore, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood have been right on the money in the death overs. Krunal Pandya and Suyash Sharma were brilliant in the last game against Punjab Kings as they bagged two wickets apiece.
On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals have lost their last four games as they are struggling to close out games. The inaugural champions should have won their previous two matches but their batters failed to add the finishing touches. RR needed nine runs to win in the last over against DC and LSG but could not get over the line.
Sanju Samson will continue to miss the action due to his injury and Riyan Parag will lead in his place.
