Sharjah Warriors will face Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in the 19th match of the ongoing International League T20 2023 on Saturday. Warriors’ last match against Dubai Capitals ended in no result after rain played killjoy at Sharjah on Thursday.
The Warriors didn’t get off to an ideal start as they lost their opening three matches of the tournament but they have bounced back in style to win the next two games.
Meanwhile, before the match against Dubai Capitals, Sharjah Warriors stunned the points table leaders Gulf Giants by 21 runs in their previous match. Joe Denly had scored a fine fifty for the Moeen Ali-led team whereas Naveen-ul-Haq had scalped five wickets for his team to help skittle out the opposition at 130.
In fact, the Warriors had their noses in front against Dubai Capitals as the latter were reduced to 17-4 after five overs before rain saved the Rovman Powell-led team.
On the other hand, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders have struggled to get going in the inaugural season. ADKR have not yet won a solitary match out of the six matches they have played and thus they are lingering at the bottom of the standings. The Sunil Narine-led team’s last match also ended in no result against Gulf Giants due to rain.
