Sharjah Warriors will lock horns against Dubai Capitals in the 17th match of the ongoing International League T20 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Thursday. The Warriors didn’t get off to an ideal start as they lost their opening three matches of the tournament but they have bounced back in style to win the next two games.
On the other hand, Dubai Capitals are also in the same boat as Sharjah Warriors as they have managed two wins in five matches.
Meanwhile, Sharjah Warriors stunned the points table leaders Gulf Giants by 21 runs in their previous match. Joe Denly had scored a fine fifty for the Moeen Ali-led team whereas Naveen-ul-Haq had scalped five wickets for his team to help skittle out the opposition at 130.
Dubai Capitals also won their last game against MI Emirates by 16 runs. The Capitals skipper Rovman Powell led from the front as he scored a brilliant knock of 97 runs off just 41 balls to help his team post a huge score of 222 runs against the Emirates. Hazrat Luqman was the pick of the bowlers as he returned with figures of 2-24 in his quota of four overs for the Capitals.
Thus, it is expected to be a tight contest between these two evenly-balanced teams in the competition. The last time these two teams met in the tournament, Sharjah Warriors had won by seven wickets.
Match Prediction: Sharjah Warriors might enter the contest as slight favorites against Dubai Capitals.
