Royal Challengers Bangalore off-spinner Washington Sundar feels the UAE pitches will offer plenty of assistance to the spinners in the forthcoming Indian Premier League 2020. RCB have started training for the IPL and Sundar has noticed that the tracks have offered help for the spinners.
The UAE pitches are on the slower side and thus the spinners will be licking their lips while bowling on these tracks. In fact, it is always noticed that the spinners play a crucial role in the success of their respective teams in the IPL and Sundar will also aim to deliver the goods for RCB.
RCB have spinners like Yuzvendra Chahal, Adam Zampa, Pawan Negi and Washington Sundar and they would aim to get the job done for the franchise. The team hasn’t been able to come up consistent performances collectively and the spinners would aim to be at the top of their game.
“I think things are going very well and we have been getting pitches where we can get some assistance for spinners. We can expect this in the games as well when the tournament starts. With the amount of heat that has been here for the last few days, we can definitely see plenty of assistance for the spinners in the middle of the tournament,” Sundar said in a video posted on the official Twitter handle of RCB.
Meanwhile, Washington Sundar can do a fine job with both bat and ball for RCB. The left-handed batsman has scored 75 runs in the IPL so far. The off-spinner bowls a tight line and length and he can also bowl in the powerplay overs. In fact, he has often opened the bowling in the IPL for Rising Pune Supergiant and RCB.
Sundar has scalped 16 wickets in 21 IPL matches at an average of 28.19 and he would like to impress in the forthcoming IPL. RCB players have started their training and they would aim to make the most of their sessions.
RCB hasn’t been able to come up with a complete performance and they would aim to turn the tables in the forthcoming season. The IPL is all set to begin from September 19 in the UAE with Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi to host all the matches.
