The inaugural champions Rajasthan Royals will host the defending champions Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium, Jaipur on Friday. The rivalry between Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans is attracting eyeballs as both of these two teams have performed consistently in the recent past.
While GT had RR’s number on all three occasions in the previous season, the latter was able to finally get their maiden win against the Hardik Pandya-led team earlier in the season.
Once again these two teams look all set to go all the way to the playoff stages. GT occupies the numero uno position in the points table with six wins in nine matches whereas RR is currently in fourth place in the standings with five wins in nine games.
In fact, RR has slightly veered off the track as they have managed a solitary win in their last four matches. Ergo, the Sanju Samson-led will look to get back to winning ways against GT.
On the other hand, Gujarat Titans lost their previous match against Delhi Capitals by five runs after they could not chase down a sub-par total of 130 runs. Thus, the defending champions will be looking to make a solid comeback with the bat against RR.
Match Prediction: Rajasthan Royals will enter the contest as favorites against Gujarat Titans.
