Sunrisers Hyderabad will open their IPL 2023 campaign against the previous season’s runners-up Rajasthan Royals at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on April 2nd. The Orange Army added players like Mayank Dagar, Vivrant Sharma, Harry Brook, Mayank Agarwal, Akeal Hossein, Mayank Markande, Adil Rashid, and Heinrich Klaasen in the mini-auction.
Aiden Markram will lead SRH in IPL 2023 after leading Sunrisers Eastern Cape to triumph in SA20. However, the South African will miss the opening game and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will lead the team against RR. SRH had failed to make it to the playoff stages in the previous season and they will want to come up with a collective show.
On the other hand, RR had added players like Jason Holder, Joe Root, Adam Zampa, and KM Asif in IPL 2023 auction.
The inaugural champions had come up with a consistent performance in the previous season of the IPL, reaching the finals but they could not cross the final hurdle against Gujarat Titans. Ergo, the Sanju Samson-led will look to go one step further in the upcoming season and they will look to make a good start to their campaign.
Match Prediction: Rajasthan Royals will enter the contest as slight favorites against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
