Delhi Capitals will lock horns against Rajasthan Royals in the 56th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2024 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi on Tuesday. Both of these teams lost their respective previous matches and they will be determined to return to the winning ways.
Delhi Capitals could only manage 153 runs in their last game against Kolkata Knight Riders and they will want to come up with a better batting show. None of the DC’s batters could go past the 40-run mark as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals.
Before this loss, DC had won four matches out of their last five games and they will want to keep their playoff hopes alive. Jake Fraser-McGurk has been outstanding for DC since he has made his debut but DC will want a more collective effort from their batting line-up.
On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals lost their last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad by a solitary run. RR needed two runs to win on the final ball but Rovman Powell was plumbed in front by Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
RR is in a commanding position with eight wins in 10 games and they would not want to take their foot off the accelerator. Thus, the Sanju Samson-led team will aim to keep the good show in order to seal their playoff berth.
RR have looked formidable as they have ticked a lot of right boxes and they will be wanting to bring their best against DC.
