IPL 2025: Rajasthan Royals vs Kolkata Knight Riders – Match Preview

Rajasthan Royals will lock horns against the reigning champions Kolkata Knight Riders at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati in the ongoing IPL 2025 on Wednesday. Both of these two teams lost their respective opening matches and they would look to get their first points of the season.

Rajasthan Royals’ bowlers conceded a huge total of 286 runs in their opener against Sunrisers Hyderabad and they must come up with an improved performance. They were not able to hit the right areas in the death overs and were taken to the cleaners by Ishan Kishan and Travis Head.

However, there were a bit of positives as Sanju Samson, Dhruv Jurel, and Shimron Hetmyer got the runs under their belt.

On the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders got off to a promising start against Royal Challengers Bengaluru but veered off the track as they lost three quick wickets.

Sunil Narine and Ajinkya Rahane got the runs at the top of the order but the rest of the batters failed to come to the party. The defending champions would want to come up with a better bowling show as they could not cause much trouble in the opening game.
