Lucknow Super Giants will take on the defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow in the 50th match of the ongoing IPL 2026 on Thursday. LSG is struggling at the bottom of the IPL standings and has lost their last six games.
Rishabh Pant’s team has managed only two wins in nine games and they have looked toothless throughout the campaign. They posted a decent score of 228 runs on the board in the last game against Mumbai Indians but could not defend the total.
Some of their tactical decisions have been baffling, including demoting Aiden Markram to the middle order. They have not backed one opening pair in the season and they haven’t been able to deliver the goods.
On the other hand, RCB were bowled out for 155 runs in the previous game against Gujarat Titans. RCB has adopted an ultra-aggressive approach and they were bound to get a match like that in the last encounter.
RCB have been missing the services of Phil Salt at the top of the order and Jacob Bethell needs to grab his chances with both hands as he hasn’t yet capitalised.
Head to Head: Matches: 7, Won by RCB: 5, Won by LSG: 2.
