Defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru will lock horns against Lucknow Super Giants at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on Wednesday. RCB had won their previous match comprehensively against Mumbai Indians by 18 runs after they posted a par score of 240 runs on the board.
The reigning champions have adopted an aggressive approach with the bat and they are reaping rewards for the same. Rajat Patidar has led from the front whereas Phil Salt getting back into form in the last game was also a huge positive for RCB.
The bowling unit has done a decent job thus far for Patidar’s team and they would look to carry the good show going.
On the other hand, Lucknow Super Giants could not bring their best in the last game against Gujarat Titans. LSG posted only 164 runs in the previous match and thus they need to come up with an improved batting performance. Aiden Markram was the top-scorer with 30 runs and the rest of the LSG batters had failed to convert their starts.
LSG’s bowling has clicked but they are the only team in IPL 2026, that is yet to cross the 200-run barrier with the bat.
Head to Head: Matches: 6, Won by RCB: 4, Won by LSG: 2.
