The historic T20I between Japan and India will be played at the Sano International Cricket Ground, Sano, Kanto on Tuesday. It would be a great opportunity for Japanese players to observe how India go about their business and learn from them.

The match would start at 1:00 PM local time, which means a 9:30 AM start for Indian audiences. Shreyas Iyer’s team recently hammered Afghanistan by 3-0 while playing at home and it would be interesting to note what conditions and pitch would offer at Sano.

This game will be a perfect warm-up game for India ahead of the Asian Games quarterfinals. On the other hand, for Japan, it would be an opportunity to make the most of it and they would look to take all they can.

Meanwhile, Abhishek Sharma smashed a blistering knock of 108 runs off just 34 balls in the last game against Afghanistan. It would be hard work for Japanese bowlers if the left-hander remains in such bowling-destroying mood.

Sanju Samson also scored two fifties against Afghanistan, squashing doubts over his place in the team, for the time being. Head coach Gautam Gambhir also confirmed that Vaibhav Sooryavanshi will need to wait for his chances.
