Former England skipper Nasser Hussain has showered praise on Pakistan’s debtutant Razaullah after the opening day of the third Test match against England. After Pakistan was skittled out for a paltry score of 133, Razaullah got the big wicket of England captain Joe Root, plumbing him in front of the wickets.

The debutant consistently bowled around 145 kmph and tested the English batters with his extra pace. Razaullah has a slingy action and he got the ball to move back into Root before catching him on the crease.

The fast bowler also got rid of England opener Emilio Gay, dismissing the left-hander after he scored 60 runs.

“Pakistan have been calling out for something different from their bowlers for a long while. It is nice to watch that spell from Razaullah that had something, that had a point of difference, had some pace. It hurried one of the greatest batters there has ever been in Joe Root, and got him out,” the former England captain Nasser Hussain said on Sky Sports.

Razaullah returned with decent figures of 2-42 in the nine overs he bowled on the opening day of the final Test atv Edgbaston, Birmingham on Wednesday.

On the other hand, Mohammad Ali and Mohammad Abbas got the wickets of Ben Duckett and Jordan Cox respectively.

Earlier in the day, Pakistan were bundled out for 133 after Josh Tongue was the pick of the English bowlers with four scalps. Ollie Robinson and Jofra Archer bagged three wickets apiece.

Saud Saukeel was the top-scorer for the visitors with 43 runs. But none of the other Pakistan batters could show any resistance.

England ended the opening day at 156-4 with Harry Brook and Dan Lawrence at the crease.
