Lahore Qalandars will take on Peshawar Zalmi in the second eliminator of the ongoing Pakistan Super League at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on Friday. LHQ suffered a huge loss of 84 runs against Multan Sultans in the first qualifier whereas Peshawar Zalmi defeated Islamabad United by 12 runs to qualify for the second eliminator.
The Shaheen Shah Afridi-led team was skittled out for 76 runs in the qualifier and they will look to come up with a better batting show. On the other hand, Peshawar Zalmi will want to come up with a better Powerplay bowling performance against LHQ.
When these two teams had met earlier in the season, both won against one another once. LHQ won the first contest by 40 runs whereas PSZ won the second game by 35 runs to take their revenge.
LHQ was at their best in the league stage and they would want to deliver in a do-or-die game. On the other hand, PSZ will have confidence on their side after beating ISU in the final game.
Rashid Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Fakhar Zaman will hold the key for LHQ whereas Babar Azam, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, James Neesham, and Mohammad Haris will be the crucial players for PSZ.
Match Prediction: Lahore Qalandars will start as favorites against Peshawar Zalmi as they have a potent bowling unit.
