Duleep trophy will begin from September 5 with Andhra Pradesh’s Anantapur and the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru as the host venues. Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Abhimanyu Easwaran have been picked as captains of the four teams by the Ajit Agarkar-led selection panel.
It was reported that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will play in the domestic tournament but the veteran duo has not been picked. The likes of Prithvi Shaw, Rinku Singh have not been picked whereas Ravichandran Ashwin, and Jasprit Bumrah have been rested.
Meanwhile, Shubman Gill lead Team A and will have players like Riyan Parag, KL Rahul, Shivam Dube and Kuldeep Yadav.
Team B will be led by Abhimanyu Easwaran and players like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sarfaraz Khan, Rishabh Pant, Mohammed Siraj, and Ravindra Jadeja have been included.
Ruturaj Gaikwad will lead Team C and the side consists of players like Sai Sudharsan, Rajat Patidar, Suryakumar Yadav and Umran Malik.
Shreyas Iyer will lead Team D and he will have the services of players like Devdutt Padikkal, Ishan Kishan, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, and Tushar Deshpande.
