India will lock horns against South Africa after getting off to a perfect start in the ongoing T20 World Cup at the Perth Stadium, Perth on Sunday. The Men in Blue have won both of their opening matches and they have put themselves in a strong position in Group 2 of the Super 12 stage.
India had won their previous match against the Netherlands convincingly by 56 runs and they would look to continue the good show. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Suryakumar Yadav all scored fifties to help their team post a par score of 179 runs.
On the other hand, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh, Axar Patel, and Ravichandran Ashwin all took two wickets each while Shami took one wicket.
Meanwhile, South Africa was comprehensive in their previous match against Bangladesh as they won by a gargantuan margin of 104 runs. Rilee Rossouw scored a fine hundred and he would look to continue the good show for the Proteas.
Furthermore, Anrich Nortje was right on the money as he scalped four wickets while Tabraiz Shamsi had taken three wickets against Bangladesh.
Both India and South Africa had recently played against each other in a three-match bilateral series, which the former had won by 2-1 in their home conditions.
