As India looks to create history in the T20 World Cup folklore, New Zealand is the last hurdle standing between them and the record books. The Men in Blue will take on the Kiwis at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on Sunday.
If India goes all the way, they will become the first host nation to win the T20 World Cup. Furthermore, they will become the first team to successfully defend their T20 World Cup crown and the first team to win the T20 World Cup title on three occasions.
New Zealand, on the other hand, are looking to win their maiden T20 World Cup. The Blackcaps were sensational against the Proteas in the semifinal, with Finn Allen scoring a blistering 33-ball century.
Meanwhile, Sanju Samson has been in solid form and there is no doubt that he is going to hold the key, with Abhishek Sharma struggling for form. Varun Chakravarthy hasn’t been at his best either and he would want to pull up his socks.
