Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has expressed optimism that they will win the ODI series against the West Indies. The series is currently tied at 1-1 and the deciding ODI will be played at Trinidad on Tuesday. India had lost the second game of the series by six wickets after they decided to rest their skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.
India hasn’t been at their absolute best with the bat as the youngsters have failed to grab their chances. The visitors lost five wickets while chasing a below-par score of 115 runs in the opening game of the series whereas the tourists were skittled out for a meager score of 181 runs in the second game.
Ergo, there is no doubt that India will look to turn the tables with the bat in the decider of the series.
Meanwhile, Jadeja was at his best in the opening game of the series, returning with impressive figures of 3-37 in the six overs he bowled and played a key role in bundling out West Indies at 114.
“We are very confident and not in any doubt. We know we lost one game but it is okay, it is part of the game. If you are trying something different, this can happen. We are definitely going to give our best and win the series,” Ravindra Jadeja said on the eve of the series decider at the Brian Lara stadium in Trinidad.
On the other hand, former World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev recently said that arrogance has come into Indian players with money being the prime factor. However, Ravindra Jadeja hit back at the former all-rounder and said there is no arrogance in this Indian team.
“I don’t know when he said this. I don’t search for these things on social media. See everyone has their own opinion. Ex-player have full right to share their opinion, but I don’t think there is not any arrogance in this team,” Jadeja told reporters.
The third and final ODI of the series will be played at Trinidad on Tuesday.
