Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr teammate Aymeric Laporte said it is always a pleasure to train with the Portuguese talisman at the club. Laporte hailed Ronaldo’s work ethic at the top level despite turning 39 earlier in the year.
Ronaldo is regarded as one of the best players in the history of the game and has achieved almost everything because of the way he has worked hard on his game.
Meanwhile, Aymeric Laporte moved to Al Nassr in the summer of 2023 from Manchester City.
“Training with Cristiano every day is something special, because you know what kind of player he is, a tremendous player,” Laporte said (via Al Nassr Zone on X).
“Cristiano is one of the best players in the history of football and a great example of a professional player.”
Meanwhile, Laporte has been linked to move back to Europe as he could sign a new deal with La Liga giants Real Madrid.
Laporte said via the Goal, “I’m not really up to date, I’ve read the same thing as you. There’s no problem. It sounds good. Obviously, teams like Real Madrid aren’t being looked down upon.”
On the other hand, Ronaldo recently hinted that he would retire when he would no longer enjoy the game at the top level after scoring a brace in a 5-1 thrashing of Poland in the UEFA Nations League.
“I just want to enjoy [myself],” he said. “Plan for retirement? if it has to happen, in one or two years … I don’t know. I’m turning 40 soon.
“I really want to enjoy, as long as I feel motivated I keep going. The day I don’t feel motivated, I will retire.”
Ronaldo will look to keep up the good show for Al-Nassr.
