Chennaiyin FC, former champions of the Indian Super League (ISL), have announced the extension of midfielder Yumkhaibam Jiteshwor Singh’s contract until 2025. The decision comes in the wake of Jiteshwor’s outstanding performances during the recently concluded ISL season, cementing his place as a pivotal figure in the team’s lineup.
The 22-year-old midfielder from Manipur, who made his ISL debut with Chennaiyin FC in 2022, has quickly established himself as an essential player for the club. Since joining Chennaiyin FC, Jiteshwor has made a notable impact, featuring in a total of 44 matches across all competitions. His consistency and skill were particularly evident in the last season, where he played 23 matches, contributing both defensively and offensively to the team’s efforts.
