Mumbai City FC have completed the signing of Jorge Pereyra Diaz ahead of the ninth season of the Hero Indian Super League 2022-23, the club confirmed the news on Thursday. In fact, the Islanders had made the announcement that they had made a deal with Diaz but had not confirmed the same.
Diaz had earlier parted ways with Kerala Blasters FC in July. The striker had played an instrumental role in taking Kerala Blasters to the final of the tournament as he had scored eight goals and also provided one assist in 21 matches he played in the previous season.
Mumbai City FC have already signed players like Greg Stewart and Alberto Noguera and adding Diaz will definitely add more strength to their forward line. The Islanders had failed to qualify for the semifinal stages in the previous season and Des Buckingham will be looking to turn the tables in the forthcoming edition.
On the other hand, Jamshedpur FC have signed the services of goalkeeper Rakshit Dagar and midfielder Sheikh Sahil before the next season, the club has announced. Both of these players have a three-year contract, which will keep them at the club until the end of 2025 season.

“I am extremely excited to be joining Jamshedpur. I feel this is the perfect place for me right now to grow and develop with the guidance of Aidy Boothroyd, Leslie Cleevely and the steady support of the Jamshedpur fans. I can’t wait to get on the field” said Rakshit Dagar after he put pen to paper.
“I am enthusiastic about joining Jamshedpur. My goal is to help the team in every possible way. I aim to thrive with the guidance of the gaffer Aidy Boothroyd, along with the experienced players in the squad. Young players have done really well with Jamshedpur and it’s the perfect place for me to be there and show my mettle. I want to be part of the starting eleven and contribute to wins” said Sahil after signing the deal
“These two youngsters have shown great potential in the teams they have played for, and I am happy to have them. I hope to see them grow as individuals and contribute to team success in the coming season,” said Aidy Boothroyd.
