Indian Super League outfit Kerala Blasters recently roped in former Gokaulam Kerala midfielder Vincy Barretto. The Blasters paid an undisclosed transfer fee to secure his services from the Malabarians in a multi year deal.
“Kerala Blasters are happy to announce the signing of Vincy Barretto on a three-year deal at the club till 2024. The young winger was with Gokulam Kerala FC before joining KBFC,” the club’s official statement read.
Vincy started his professional career back in Dempo Sports Club’s youth academy. The versatile midfielder who can play on the flanks and even as an attacking midfielder. The youngster played in the U18-League representing the Golden Eagles. He signed his first contract in 2017 when he joined the reserves side of FC Goa. He plied his trade at the Indian Super League side for the next three years.
He was pivotal in FC Goa’s Goa Professional League win back in the 2018-19 season. He also maintained his consistency in the 2nd Division League registering a total of 17 appearances for the team over the course of the season. Before joining the Blasters he spent a season at Gokulam Kerala FC where again he guided the Malabarians to their maiden I-League glory. He made 13 appearances in last season’s I-League and clocked 639 minutes for Gokulam Kerala registering a single assist.

Kerala Blasters Sporting Director Karolis Skinkys was delighted with the signing of Vincy. He feels that the youngster brings in a lot of value to the team as he is someone with high potential.
