Kerala Blasters FC have announced the signing of French winger Kévin Yoke on a free transfer ahead of the 2025-26 season of the Indian Super League. The club confirmed the move on Monday as preparations begin for the new campaign, which is set to kick off on February 14.
Yoke becomes one of the Blasters’ key additions following the official announcement of the league’s starting date. The 182 cm tall winger is a two-footed forward known for his versatility in wide attacking areas. His arrival continues the club’s efforts to reshape its squad after a period of uncertainty surrounding domestic competitions.
The Frenchman joins the Kochi-based side after spending three seasons in Greece, where he featured across the country’s top two divisions. During that spell, Yoke registered three goals and 11 assists, contributing both creativity and balance from the flanks. His experience in European football is expected to bring a different dimension to the Blasters’ attacking play.
Blasters chief executive officer Abhik Chatterjee expressed confidence that Yoke’s profile matches the club’s tactical vision for the upcoming season.
“Kevin is a player with qualities that suit the way we want to play. His ability to take on defenders, his movement in wide areas and his experience at the professional level will add strength to our attacking unit,” Chatterjee said.
Yoke’s signing follows the earlier announcement of German attacking midfielder Marlon Roos Trujillo, underlining the club’s intent to add international experience to its squad. Together, the two signings are seen as important steps as the Blasters look to mount a strong challenge in the upcoming ISL season.
Kerala Blasters are three-time ISL finalists but have yet to lift the league title. In recent months, the club experienced instability due to uncertainty around the league schedule. Earlier, the Blasters had signed forwards Koldo Obieta and Tiago Alves, both of whom featured in the Super Cup. However, following the team’s group-stage exit from the competition, the two attackers departed the club soon after.
With clarity now in place regarding the ISL calendar, the Blasters appear focused on building stability and depth. The addition of Yoke signals a renewed push to strengthen the squad as the club aims to turn past near-misses into sustained success in the 2025-26 season.
