Kerala Blasters have completed the signing of German-born attacking player Marlon Roos Trujillo, as the club continues to reshape its squad ahead of the upcoming Indian Super League season.
The 22-year-old joins the Kochi-based club after gaining experience across multiple levels of European football. Marlon developed through the youth system of 1 FSV Mainz 05 before earning his move into senior football with Mainz 05 II. His time there marked an important step in his development, allowing him to adapt to the demands of professional football at a young age.
Following his spell in Germany, Marlon moved to Croatia, where he represented HNK Vukovar 1991. During his time in the Croatian league system, he continued to pick up valuable minutes and made contributions in attacking areas across league campaigns. So far in his career, the versatile attacker has made 130 appearances, scoring 20 goals and registering 27 assists, underlining his ability to influence games both as a scorer and creator.
Marlon has also represented Germany at the Under-18 and Under-19 levels, adding international youth experience to his profile. His arrival is expected to provide Kerala Blasters with added depth and flexibility in the attacking third as they prepare for the new season.
Speaking on the signing, Kerala Blasters CEO Abhik Chatterjee highlighted the qualities the club sees in the new recruit. “Marlon is a player who brings a strong personality and calmness to the group. His ability to stay composed under pressure and contribute in key moments adds real value to our squad. We are pleased to have him join us and look forward to seeing him integrate quickly with the team,” he said.
In addition to Trujillo, Kerala Blasters have also secured the services of Indian midfielder Rowllin Borges. The 31-year-old brings significant ISL experience, having previously represented NorthEast United, Mumbai City FC and FC Goa.
These signings follow the departures of overseas players Koldo Obieta, Dušan Lagator, Juan Rodríguez, Adrián Luna (loan) and Noah Sadaoui (loan), as the club continues its rebuild ahead of the new ISL campaign.
