Mumbai City FC has made a strategic move to enhance their defense by signing 24-year-old defender Sahil Panwar. This acquisition comes at a crucial time for the Islanders, who are looking to fill the void left by skipper Rahul Bheke’s departure to his former club, Bengaluru FC. Panwar first caught the attention of Pune FC scouts during the Subroto Cup, a tournament known for spotlighting emerging Indian football talent. His impressive performance there earned him a spot at FC Pune City, where he made his Indian Super League (ISL) debut in 2018. Over the years, Panwar has also played for Hyderabad FC and Odisha FC, gaining valuable experience and showing his defensive prowess.
