Liverpool legend and SC East Bengal head coach Robbie Fowler has shared a message of solidarity for the Indians during the second wave of the Coronavirus pandemic.
He in his video message told the people of India to stay safe and take utmost precaution by not stepping out if it is not important. He has also told them to follow the guidelines and take all the necessary precautions to fight against this deadly virus.
The country has seen a massive spike in cases and even the death toll has been staggering in the last few weeks. Things have gone out of control with the shortage of oxygen, syringes, plasma and even hospital beds in certain areas of the country. Amid these circumstances, people are trying to help themselves by sharing leads to any requirements for the suffering patients.
Earlier a lot of Indian Super League clubs came forward in order to help people by amplifying the leads to the important requirements for the suffering patients. Now the Red and Golds have also joined the same movement as they have also started providing information for the general public regarding COVID-19.
“We, at SC East Bengal, are doing everything we can to try and help you. You can reach out to the club via social media channels. We are trying to help you as best as we can. We know that you are having an incredibly tough time over there in India. We are obviously all with you and just hoping that things subside pretty soon,” said the Liverpool legend.
“Until then just keep doing what you need to do. Stay safe, stay out of crowds. Make sure you wash your hands, sanitize and if you do need to go out, make sure you use the face masks. Try and stay safe as much as you can and we will all see you pretty soon.”
The Red and Golds are looking to devote more time and their social media handles in amplifying COVID-19 related information. People with leads may just message them and then the same will be verified by the club before they put it up on social media. They are trying to reach out to more and more people by this noble initiative.
